Shop Foreman

Amarillo Machinery Company is now hiring a Shop Foreman. We are a growing dealer with several manufacturers and a rental company for many brands of construction and aerial equipment.

Job Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the construction/heavy equipment industry
• Safe work habits and history; must pass physical and have clean drug screen.
• Manage all service technicians in the shop.
• Build the service schedule balancing internal and external work.
• Demonstrate competency in the diagnosis and repair of heavy equipment product lines using computer skills for diagnostics.
• The ability to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
• The ability to perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Knowledgeable in trouble shooting various heavy equipment product lines.
• Must be detail-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Recruit and hire new technicians as needed to appropriately build a team suited to the business need.
• Manage the customer relationship from end to end.
• Exceptional customer service as well as communication skills are essential to success in this position.
• Build the customer base in order to grow the business.
• Estimate and Bid all service work.
• Monitor the entire workflow of a service repair order from creation to invoice to ensure jobs are completed per the customer expectation and to company standards.
• Monitor technician performance.
• Responsible for hitting targets, and creating proactive plans to ensure we continually stay on target.
• Administer applicable safety program to ensure we are educated and acting in accordance with industry standard safety protocols.
• Work closely with the parts department to ensure parts are properly quoted, ordered, and added to repair orders.
• Work with the Sales and Rental team member to ensure they have the necessary service and parts they need to take care of customers.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience the following product lines: Hitachi, Mustang, JLG, Genie, Linkbelt, Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Dynapac, New Holland are a plus.

• Demonstrate competency in the diagnosis and repair of heavy equipment product lines using computer skills for diagnostics.
• The ability to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
• The ability to perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Must be detail-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledgeable in trouble shooting various heavy equipment product lines.
• Possess a valid CDL license with a clean driving record.
• Safe work habits and history; must pass physical and have clean drug screen.
• Exceptional customer service as well as communication skills are essential to success in this position.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience the following product lines: Kawasaki, Mustang, JLG, Genie, Kobelco, Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Ingersol Rand, New Holland are a plus.
